Best of luck to your son and your family. I'm sure it is hard to cope. He needs to use his artistic talents to do good things. It will help keep his mind away from all the bad stuff.

Thank you. We've had a lot on our plate lately, but we're doing well. A strong faith that God will work out keeps us going. He's drawing again some, but he's writing a lot--which makes this heart happy! A creative outlet to let his thoughts flow.

Sends me back to the days I spent in rehab going from one business to the next looking for anyone who’d hire me. Glad to hear things are going well!

I look forward to your thoughts on connection. I’ll be touching on it as well in my next piece on Saturday.

Oooo...I'll be on the lookout for that in my inbox, Matt. Definitely something that's been a running theme lately. Can't wait to read your thoughts.

Great to hear about your son. Thank you for sharing. Connection is one of my three core values along with “Expansion” and “Freedom.” I believe that books are the “New Currency of Connection.”

Books=new currency of connection

I like it! I attribute my ability to connect, especially with those who are not like me to countless hours with my nose in a book as a child in a rural area. I "saw" the world and "met" people who showed me a different perspective through those stories.

Thank you. The power of story, right?? Even (especially!) the ones that may tell the world our lives aren’t neatly wrapped packages.
